King County Rideshare Rewards Programs


Keep Moving During I-90 Bridge Closures

Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is working with King County Metro to keep traffic moving. WSDOT has two offers for commuters who travel on I-405 or cross the I-90 or SR 520 bridges:

$20 MasterCard Gift Cards for using RideshareOnline
WSDOT offers a $20 MasterCard gift card to new RideshareOnline.com registrants or to current registrants who log on to RideshareOnline.com and request an updated ridematch by 7/31/09.

Gift cards are limited to the first 3,000 registrants, and you must routinely commute on the I-90 or SR 520 bridges (either direction) or on I-405.


Three Months Free for new vanpool/vanshare groups
WSDOT offers free Metro VanPool or VanShare fares for three months to eligible new groups.

Who is eligible?

  • The group must start between April 20, 2009 and July 10, 2009.
  • The group must routinely commute in either direction on the I-90 or SR 520 bridges or on I-405.
  • Approved applicants must complete Metro's online orientation course by June 29, 2009 and take delivery of their van by July 10, 2009.
  • Commuters must not have participated in a public vanpool in the last 90 days.

I-90 Bridge Lane Closures? Get an Early Start to Downtown Bellevue!

Receive up to $400 in MasterCard gift cards! Downtown Bellevue commuters who become drivers and/or bookkeepers in new King County Metro vanpools or vanshare groups by July 10, 2009 will receive up to $300 in MasterCard gift cards. New riders joining new or existing Metro groups to Downtown Bellevue in the same time period will be eligible for a $100 gift card.
